Principles of the application of civil law over time in the light of the new Civil Code

Summary/Abstract: Conflict of laws were solved by traditional Romanian law by applying the principles of non-retroactivity and the immediate implementation of the new law, followed by the exception to these principles – the survival of the old civil law. The New Civil Code keeps the principles of solving the problem of temporal application of the law, giving them, however, new meanings and values.
