Summary/Abstract: The article concerns the presentation of music in the museum institutions. Music, as a part of the cultural heritage, is more often the subject of museum exhibitions. Modern technologies, more willingly applied in museums, allow us to show music within its temporary character and immateriality. Another purpose of this article is to show the Polish Song Museum in Opole as a modern institution, which through its multimedia exhibition presents the history of Polish songs from the 20’s of the twentieth century till the present day.
