Summary/Abstract: The paper discusses geographical names derived from the names of four species of trees: beech (buk), yew (cis), sycamore (jawor) and larch (mo¬drzew). Out of 296 chosen names we selected chose which have been directly derived from topographic appellatives and those which came from personal and locality names derived from appellatives.
