Summary/Abstract: Тhe family is the basic unit of society and is entitled to full economic, social and legal protection. The work on a detailed manner handled provisions of the Labor Law of the Republic of Srpska governing the special protection of women and motherhood. The rights of women in employment and during pregnancy are covered in the paper, as well as rights during maternity leave and after the expiry of maternity leave. Special attention was paid to the work of the compensation pay and protection from termination of employment for women during pregnancy and maternity leave. The author is analyzing the provisions of the Labor Law of the Republic of Srpska pointed incomplete and inadequate legislation. Also, the author has tried to propose de lege specific legal solutions. Given that for a long time preparing a new Labor Law is necessary to regulate special protection against dismissal to a woman during pregnancy, maternity leave and part-time work for women special care or child care.
