Summary/Abstract: This report reveales the importance and effectiveness of the use of didactic tests in professional music education. By analyzing contemporary manuals on Music theory elements by Mincheva, P., P. Popova, K. Fileva, D. Slavcheva Raycheva D., R. Dyulgerova-Pravchev etc., were clarified certain aspects of their practical application. Some advantages and disadvantages were established. An attempt to detect future directions of development: – Need to introduce this scientific method in teaching other musictheoretical subjects; – Need to create a computer based tests, which help to improve the learning process.
