Summary/Abstract: This article examines the very controversial thesis of Magdalena Środa, namely that the Catholic Church contributes to the violence against women. Środa does not describe this phenomenon of aggression toward women. Her theory is not based on empirical data. Thus a certain source of this theory is a priori, the ideology of radical feminism. In this ideology is the presumption that the Catholic Church is one of the causes of this aggression. This theory does not include any factual data but derives from the a priori assumption. Generally, this theory does not posses any cognitive, scientific value. It is an ideological thesis rather than a scientific one.
