Summary/Abstract: In 1946 Maurice Nédoncelle, the Dean of the Faculty of Theology in Strasbourg published a book entitled "Towards a philosophy of love". The author of this book - famous personalist, launches a new theory of love. Love as a promotion of the personality. Man can develop in many ways, but his inner worth and human dignity grow in parallel with his love. Through love man opens his heart to the other and becomes capable of devotion and sacrifice. Love, also considered as a spiritual value, brings us closer to God who is Love.
