Summary/Abstract: In the article I analyze how the concept of “Ukraine between East and West” is reflected in the contemporary literary texts by an example of three monographs on Valery Shevchuk’s prose. The authors of these monographs define Valeriy Shevchuk’s prose as a synthesis of elements derived from the Ukrainian traditions and folklore, as well as from trends and tendencies of Western literature.
