Summary/Abstract: Exceptional personality of the Romanian national movement from Transylvania, Iacob Bologa, to which birth are now two centuries, is unfortunately almost unknown. Jurist, political personality, founder of cultural and financial institutions, Iacob Bologa have totally identified himself with the Romanian national movement from the Habsburg monarchy. He was one of the active participants at the revolutionary events from 1848-1849, he was aulic counselor at Vienna, important member of Romanian National Party from Transylvania, founder of ,,Albina” Bank and also deeply implied in the cultural movement, as founder member, vice-president and president of ASTRA Association. Through this material, we have tried to realize a short evocation of the personality of the one who was Iacob Bologa, at two centuries after his birth, completed through a short biographic presentation realized by Constantin Popp, the director of ,,Albina” Bank from Sibiu.
