Summary/Abstract: The introductory part of the article presents a concise periodization of the development of the Slavic lands lexicography together with the general characteristics of each period. The subsequent part of the analysis describes four most important lexicographical works from the 16th and 17th centuries: Leksis s tolkovaniem slovenskih mov prosto, Leksis by Lavrenty Zizanij, Leksikon slavenorosskij i imen tolkovanie by Pamva Berynda and Sinonima slavenorosskaa.
