Summary/Abstract: The problems concerning Polish-Slovene-Slovak language manners are presented in this article. The author shortly describes the ways of addressing people in the three languages: Polish, Slovene, and Slovak, presenting native speakers’ problems with the usage of these forms. Then, she concentrates on the methods of introducing basic Polish honorific expressions, i.e. pan/pani/państwo in three selected textbooks for studying Polish as a foreign language. She emphasizes the importance of and the necessity to consolidate the correct use of these forms especially among Slavs.
