Summary/Abstract: There is a significant presence of Anglicisms in the medical professionalcommunication (especially in the literature), but also in acts of the European Union law. Inthis study, we tried to illustrate how these terms are included in the literature, with specialattention for their standardization. It should be also noted that the linguistic problemsraised by the adaptation of the new terminology in Romanian are complex (of phonetic,morphological nature) and sometimes overwhelming.The assimilation of Anglicisms offers research terminology a base study forsolutions finding within the framework of Romanian linguistic standards, in the presentcase. Romanian linguistic standards must be considered in relation to the development ofFrench medical terminology, the terminology with which Romanian has historical andstructural close links.
