Summary/Abstract: The article discusses vocabulary connected with family. It examines the occurrence of this vocabulary in Polish language teaching textbooks HURRA!!! PO POLSKU 1, 2 and 3. Some attention was also paid to how the lesson topics connected with family influence the teaching process and the process of developing the communication competence.
