IMPACT OF INNOVATION IN UTILITIES SECTOR ON STRUCTURAL CHANGES IN POLISH LABOUR MARKET

Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to present the structural changes in employment in Poland, under theinfluence of innovations in the services sector. Analyses were carried out on the basis of statistical datafrom the Central Statistical Office, which uses a methodology recommended by the multiannual researchprogram Community Innovation Survey (CIS) deriving from the international Oslo methodology (OsloManual). The analysis clearly shows that employment has been increasing in these parts of the servicesector which have been applying innovations in the recent years. This is mainly true about the businessservices sector and the activities that use new technologies.
