Summary/Abstract: Stecaks, the medieval tombstones, are some of the most interesting and most important artistic features in the Medieval Bosnian Kingdom. The total of around 70 thousand stecaks were found on many localities mainly on the current territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, but also in Serbia, Montenegro and Croatia. Carvings on stecaks tell a story about life and death, customs, spirituality, people and their way of living and perceiving everyday life. Among numerous types of figurations, some of the most interesting are representations of kolo dance. They can be divided into several groups based on the number of dancers displayed, their gender, the way of performing the dance, etc. Each of these aspects is an important narrative and gives an insight into the cultural and everyday life in the Medieval Bosnian Kingdom.
