Management of knowledge in the training system and practical activities of jurists (overview of the results of the scientific discussion in the editorial of the collection of scientific papers “Economic Theory and Law”)

Summary/Abstract: Management of legal knowledge in the modern period becomes one of the important factors of effective educational, scientific, practical work of lawyers. It is impossible to ensure a high level of lawyers training, the quality and competitiveness of legal consulting, the effectiveness of legal assistance without a valid legal knowledge management system. The disclosure of the content management of knowledge in domestic and foreign scientific sources is based on resource, process, functional and integrated approaches. The problem of management of legal knowledge, and its role in education and professional work of lawyers have not been properly disclosed yet. The purpose of the scientific discussion was to determine the current state of management of knowledge in legal education and practice, features of management of legal knowledge, directions and measures for its further development. Management of legal knowledge covers a complex of management actions, measures, technologies, methods and tools, the objects of which are legal knowledge and their carriers, and the purpose is their effective use in educational, scientific, and practical work of lawyers. In the process of scientific discussion, the insufficient level of development of management of legal knowledge in the modern period is determined. It is substantiated that, first of all, management of legal knowledge should be recognized as a necessary component of the management system of educational institutions, law firms and other organizations associated with legal activities. Secondly, the current state of management of legal knowledge is unsatisfactory. This dictates the need for a range activities, among which are: scientific developments in the management of legal knowledge; providing educational services and advice on management of legal knowledge; dissemination of experience and new methods of managing legal knowledge.
