Summary/Abstract: On the basis of comparative analysis of scientific approaches to characterizing ecosystems the author has indicated the sense and the main peculiarities of innovative ecosystems. The author has determined that the new growth theory, the evolutionary theory, and the neo-institutional theory are methodological frameworks of the developing innovative ecosystem concept.
