Summary/Abstract: The political task of the press of the Independent State of Croatia (NDH) was to portray the Stalingrad defeat as a victory. According to the instructions of the National Propaganda Office Department of Journalism, news agencies were not allowed to relese the news about the importance of the Stalingrad defeat and its effects on the further course of the war on the Eastern front.
