The Crisis of Spiritual Sciences. For a New Theoretical Attitude

Summary/Abstract: Having in view the problem raised by the significance science generally develops regarding human existence, the present study discusses the category of specific objectivity related to positive sciences (of nature) as opposed to the claim of truthfulness assumed by humanistic sciences (of the spirit).The modernity sees the concept of science as residual, which means that final questions have no place here. On the other hand, the fear of falling into "metaphysics" has made that humanistic sciences borrow the model of natural sciences,that is a mathematical vision. In order to surpass the paradigm of this false demand for exactness, the sciences of the spirit should open a new theoretical horizon. Thus, hermeneutics could help them abandon the objective and realistic path in favor of catching the equivocal of the human being.
