Summary/Abstract: Re-elected as president of the ASTRA, Goldiş continued his concern for the material situation of the society, mobilizing the intellectual elite with the purpose of publishing – under the aegis of the association – some works of synthesis on the historical past of the Romanians, ethnography, medicine, geography, biology etc. as well as delivering some educative lectures in villages and cities. Under his presidency, a series of brochures, tales and stories, works by Nicolae Bălcescu, George Coşbuc, Ion Creangă, Mihai Eminescu, Ştefan Octavian Iosif, Petre Ispirescu, Alexandru Vlahuţă etc. were published for villagers.
