Ukrainian vocabulary from Ivan Vahylevych’s collection (1)

Summary/Abstract: The article opens a series of planned publications, in which the authors present rare,dialectical, sometimes archaic lexical units extracted from the recently published dictionariesby Ivan Vahylevych. In two variants of Idyotykon and in the Dictionary of the South-Ruthenian Language they managed to search for about 700 lexical items, which eitherwere omitted in the Etymological Dictionary of Ukrainian Language, or require moredetailed lexicological commentary. 32 words start with A-B are discussed in the article.
