Summary/Abstract: The author of the article discusses artistic features in the image of Polish writer Eliza Ozheshkova in modern Belarusian poetry. Ozheshova, who was of Belarusian origin, influenced the history and culture of both nations. The poems by Danuta Bichel, Ala Nikiporchyk, Jurka Golub, Viktor Shnip, Lubova Rusylki and other writers have been analyzed, which enabled to conclude that the image of Eliza Ozheshkova has conceptual value in Belarusian literature. It contains loyalty to the principles of freedom and social justice. The works in which the image of Eliza Ozheshkova appears are different in terms of genre and type. These are poems-initiations, a writer’s poetic monologues, ballads and narrative poems. A variety of intertextual devices such as quotations, reminiscences, allusions, reference to historical documents have been employed.
