Summary/Abstract: The paper considers results of recent field surveys on the Razdelnaya Plain which is the part of the steppe zone of the North-West Pontic region. Finds from several localities attributed to the Neolithic period are mainly represented by flint tools and to lesser degree by small fragments of pottery. It could be established that several camp-sites in the area under consideration are not similar according to their inventory. Some of them have parallels in the flint industry of the Bug-Dniester culture whereas other sites have clear elements of the Mesolithic “Kukrek” tradition. It can be suggested that these archaeological sites belong to population with hunting and gathering economic activities and despite to presence of pottery should probably be attributed to the “ceramic Mesolithic”.
