Summary/Abstract: The main goal of this paper is an analysis of public discourse connected with meetings with Pope, JPII, a real religious authority. Polish Pope was a formal religious expert (as a bishop of Rome, and Christ`s successor), and a man with great charismatic personality. A lot of people met him face to face (and it was an unusual experience for them), others could meet him indirectly through his works. Religious authority exists on border of two worlds – it represents sacred reality, confirms religious tradition, guards definite order. It can be conducted from verbal accounts of confessors that emotional engagement and memory of meeting with the Pope, can be an important factor mobilizing to change one`s life.
