Summary/Abstract: The article presents God`s revelation as his theophany expected by people. God can be known as the first principle and last end of all things by the natural light of human reason. It means that men reach only the edge of God`s reality and expect to experience his revelatory initiative in history. God manifests himself and communicates his own divine life to the men by the theophanies which contain always a visible element, for instance „the bush blazing”. The revelation is completed by God`s appearance in Jesus Christ. The humanity of Jesus, in particular after his resurrection, is a visible sign of the invisible presence of God in the world. The Church remembers this God`s revelation, conserves it in her life and proclaims to all people.
