Summary/Abstract: The patron of the school and his message for students, both children and youth, has an important place in the educational program outlined by each school. Schools bearing the name of Pope John Paul II are an important environment for the formation of social and civic attitudes. The system of values suggested to the students of these schools is based on the teaching of Bl. John Paul II. The school community is an environment in which pro-citizen attitudes begin to be formed. This is to serve the transforming of social and cultural models. Schools play an important role in building appropriate social relationships. One of the most important resources of social capital is trust. You cannot seek trust without proper interpersonal relationships. Building interpersonal relationships is often destructed by excessive haste and focus on things. It is in meeting with others, who have different opinions, that pro-social attitudes and responsibility are formed. Guidelines of Bl. John Paul II become indications for the school to be a special place to build a mature society. Schools named for Pope John Paul II have much to offer in this regard.
