Family Paths to Faith in the Son of God

Summary/Abstract: The first words directed to man on the pages of the Gospel is a call to faith in Jesus Christ. Faith means “giving someone one’s trust”, relying on someone, it is a living relationship that exists between two beings. Such a relationship implies the acceptance and recognition of God, who allows us to come to know Him in Jesus Christ. The new Pastoral Program for the Church in Poland for the year 2013- 2014 encourages to reflect on faith in the Son of God. Inside the family intersect the paths of faith of its individual members. This article speaks about these family paths of faith. Parents should initiate the process of faith of their children, which can lead to the deepening of their awareness and help their understanding of God’s revelation. In this process other members of the family also take part. A child growing in a Christian family in an atmosphere of faith has the chance to learn to have a living relationship with Jesus, as the Son of God.
