Summary/Abstract: Nearly in every school both in Poland and other countries in the world students experience various types of problems and learning difficulties. Empirical research proves that school-related factors and somatic incompatibility, apart from psychological and personality as well as economic and social factors, have a great impact on that phenomenon. When discussing school problems, deepening learning difficulties among students and their growing numbers are a pedagogical failure of teachers toward students. They also mean ineffective didactic, educational, tutelary and compensatory work undertaken by them. The increase in the number of pupils with more and more severe learning difficulties is a school problem which may attest to the ineffectiveness of didactic, educational, tutorial and compensatory work provided by teachers. This research constitutes only a partial description of the phenomenon Nevertheless, the obtained results may provide a stimulus and encouragement to further discourse and more detailed studies.
