Summary/Abstract: Obtaining useful abilities and skills within the developement of a student with mental diasability is a priority. The purpose of the article is to show skills useful in a daily routine for students with mental disabilities. The opinions were expressed both by teachers of Zespół Szkół Specjalnych Nr 4 in Sosnowiec (school for children with mental disabilities) and the students’ parents.
