Summary/Abstract: Romula, capital of the Roman province Dacia Malvensis, has underwent a fast and spectacular evolution. Founded in the second century by the roman soldiers, one century later reached the status of a colonia, being one of the most prosperous cities in the regions. However, in short time it was abandoned by the roman soldiers, during the reign of emperor Aurelian. Its historical reconstitution started beginning with the seventeenth century. The nowadays the richness of vestiges recommends this archaeological site for becoming a cultural and touristic landmark. Initiated in 2007, the program Romula- capital of Dacia Malvensis proposed the enhancement of archaeological potential of the site in order to become part of a cultural and touristic circuit.
