Summary/Abstract: The paper is based on the Golden Horde numismatic evidence and reflects a complex and contradictory history of monetary circulation on the territory of the Old Orhei. The author underlines that the monetary circulation and life on this settlement seem to cover a more extensive period than the dawn of the town itself.
