Summary/Abstract: The presentation of the content of the encyclicals of Pope St. John XXIII contributes to the reception of papal teaching, showing, among others things, the arguments concerning the credibility of the Christian revelation. The argumentation present in the encyclicals of John XXIII concerns the testimony of the life of people who believe in Christ, Christian charity, the contribution of Christianity to culture, the presence of the full truth in Christianity and the establishment of the Church by Jesus Christ. It refers primarily to the subjective determinants of the human being, who in the Revelation of God looks for answers to the most important questions of life. This corresponds to the modern way of justifying in fundamental theology. The presentation of the motives of the credibility of Revelation realized in Jesus Christ reveals the rational nature of the Christian faith, by which man accepts God’s message of salvation. The argumentation present in the encyclicals of St. John XXIII gives its contribution here and it retains its topicality today.
