Summary/Abstract: The article publishes materials of the lower (early Roman period) horison of the settlement Golovino-1. The archaeological site is situated at a distance of 25 km south of the city of Belgorod near the source of the Toplinka river (the right tributary of the Severskij Donets) on the cape – spur of the ravine slope. Two dwellings – earth huts, household construction and 4 pits-cellars belong to the lower horison. All the pottery of the late Zarubintsy period of the settlement is hand-made. By the character of treatment it is divided into coarse and glossy. The combination of flask and basin forms indicates belonging of the settlement to the group of late sites of the Ternovka circle which is localized in the forest-steppe part of the Severskij Donets basin. The settlement is dated by the second half of the 2nd century - the turn of the 2nd – 3rd centuries and is determined by the bronze T-shaped fibula with notch enamel from the archaeological layer, a grivna fragment with mushroom-shaped ends made of bronze (construction 3), and 2 glass pommes of bronze pins (construction 7).
