Summary/Abstract: This paper attempts to diagnose the research activities of enterprises operating in the market of the Lodz Region. The analysis includes profiles and characteristics of diversification of economic entities. The study presents the range of marketing research and its usefulness, having concerned both the value perceived by managers as well as the perspective of the researcher.
