Summary/Abstract: An organization, such as a franchise network is the place where individuals come together in teams, creating stable social networks. Within such a network particular individuals learn and accumulate knowledge in collaboration with others. An organization is therefore an environment that favours accumulation of knowledge. In today’s global, multicultural, dynamic and competing world, leaders in an organization need to achieve better results with less resources available. They need creativity and far-sightedness to grasp new ideas and aspirations adequate to our restless and changeable environment. Effective global leadership can both cope with risks as well as take advantage of existing opportunities and therefore provides prospects to achieve permanent business success.
