Summary/Abstract: Purpose – The aim of the article is to present theoretical the possibilities of applying SWOT analysisto fulfilling standardsof management controlsystem and requirements of standard ISO 9001:2015 Quality management systems, in territorial administration. Design/methodology/approach – Research methods applied in the paper: literature studying, analysis of law regulation and others related to the subject of the article, also there was used the author’s experience in cooperation with territorial administration units. Findings – The article contains characteristics of SWOT method and presents practical aspect applying SWOT analysis to realization of the fourmanagement controlsystem standards and several requirements of amended ISO 9001:2015 standard. Originality/value – Literature related to the subject of this paper, does not contain many examples of applying SWOT for purposes other than building strategies, practical instruction for territorial administration units, in which part of management system is possible to use SWOT technique.
