Searching for the Sense of Events Using the World of Film from the Cognitive-Narrative Perspective

Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the paper is to discuss some theories that explain the issue of the impact of thefilm on the processes of understanding both own attitudes and behavior as well as the socialenvironment. The area of research is determined by theories in the field of media psychologyand derived from the cognitive-narrative paradigm. The following concepts are discussed:identification, parasocial relationship and key decisions on the importance of narrativeprocesses for the identity of the individual.
