System Theory in the Religious Communities

Relationship of the websites of the Hungarian Catholic Church

Summary/Abstract: The theory of systems is taken from the field of mathematics. The author of this article uses mathematical formula to analize how communication works within the Catholic Church in Hungary as depicted in the use of websites. The author analyzes 1273 webpages connected to the church and choses 881 considered representative, which he analyzes in detail. The author considers the church a living system, and thus he applies all the theoretical knowledge to this specific field. In the end, after presenting interesting data on the way these webpages are linked to one another, the author tries to formulate some suggestions on how to improve the use of webpages within the church.
