Summary/Abstract: Purpose – The aim of this paper is to identify the main factor determining the investment decision of sovereign wealth funds. Design/methodology/approach – Using financial indicators of companies listed on the London Stock Exchange this paper employ logistic regression models to analyze investment preferences of sovereign wealth funds. Findings – The study indicates that stock liquidity is the main determinant in targeting companies for investment. Originality/value – The empirical findings point out to differences in investment preferences within the group of four sovereign wealth funds.
