Characteristic of the course of action taking into account the time interval

Summary/Abstract: The key notion of this paper is ‘interval’, by which the author means the period of time between particular actions or discrete acts of the same multiple action, which does not allow to represent the proceeding of action as a monolithic one (cf. verb forms presupposing the presence of intervals: толкал, качал, лаял, позевывал, позванивал, заглядывал, etc.). The author examines the role that interval plays in processual and repeated actions from the point of view of the unification and distinction of these aspectual characteristics.
