Summary/Abstract: The article explores some features of participation in proving the defense in criminal proceedings. Analyzes the legal nature of the information about the facts that are going to parties of criminal proceedings during the pre-trial investigation. Concluded that such information is becoming increasingly important evidence (forensic evidence) only after their direct investigation in the trial court. It turns out their value during the pre-trial investigation.
