Summary/Abstract: The following paper begins from two premises, which justify our concern regarding the study of Mircea Eliade’s short stories. On one hand, we have observed that this ascension mythic complex is found hidden, by all means, in all the prose of Mircea Eliade, reflecting his drive regarding this subject. On the other hand, these short stories close within themselves ascension mythic patterns and mechanisms, which are not enough exploited in critical studies.
