Summary/Abstract: The article deals with specific problems of the prerequisites and exercising of control on the implementation of the legal deposit legislation of Bulgarian literature in chronological terms - from its first steps to the present day. Texts of laws and other normative acts that are directly or indirectly connected with the control on the legal deposit, as well as the circumstances, factors and problems in its practical implementation are briefly examined.
