Summary/Abstract: As has been confirmed by many Polish and international institutions, the innovativeness of Polish SMEs rates relatively low. In terms of creating and implementing innovation, it is of the utmost importance that managers be aware of the need to create an adequate organisational culture and climate in order to support the realisation of the innovation process. Employees also play a crucial role. An organisational culture that makes employees responsible for the company’s success and motivates them to be creative is one that will support both the firm’s development and its competitive position. This paper presents an analysis of research conducted in the field of innovativeness.
