Summary/Abstract: In this article we propose to analyse a work - Omero Iliade by Alessandro Baricco, for the realization of which the writer starts from the Italian translation of the Iliad in prose, which he reshapes and processes for public reading. He intervenes in the Homeric text. The article follows the extend to which such an approach to a classic text results in a transcription of the text in question or, conversely, generates a new text with new meanings and structural cohesion.
