Summary/Abstract: The number of single-parent families has significantly increased in the recent years. The difficulties they are confronted with are an alarm for pedagogues, sociologists and psychologists. The article analyses the difficulties of exercising educative roles in single-parent families. A focus made among single parents highlights a series of aspects that require a solution, considering the consequences a divorce can have on the child`s evolution.
