Summary/Abstract: Home as the subject of academic debate was analysed in respect of a family or materialreality.Philosophical approach to home as a community shows how strongly it is rooted in the sphere ofvalues that shape human life. The identity of a modern manis not integral with anidentity of a household member. A man experiences their home not only by living in it but also making home in it. Hisorher participation is demonstrated in several forms and through various attitudes. The dynamics ofhome is characterised by permanence and passing away. Presence goes beyond every-day reality andshapes home as a community of education and values.
