Heart-the sanctuary of the Godhead in the human being according to the Eastern Spirituality

Summary/Abstract: God is "love" and from love for man, He became exactly what he loved, which is the Man, to ignite the flame of love in the heart of man, in which He entered to rest and could no longer extinguish it, becouse the human being is built to be directed to Him, revealing itself to be a likeness to Him. It is therefore love that "determined God to become man" so that He put him in genuine and ontological communion with Him, giving him immortality and hence having no likeness but eternity. That is why the mystery of the human heart, carefully and precisely ascertained by the Holy Fathers of the Eastern Church in this report, is the strongest argument in favor of the existence of the necessary One, eternally living, loving and immortal of man.The Orthodox Church always emphasizes the role of the heart in the spiritual, ascetic, and mystical life of the faithful man in the ascension of his contemplative union with God, or more precisely on the interiority of man, on the inner mystery of the human being, the heart is God's "sanctuary" and "altar", the place of His presence and the organ of His receptivity in man.
