Summary/Abstract: The article presents the author’s attempt to answer two key questions: what is the principle of orientation to results, what is its sense and rank in the model of excellence, as well as whether and how is this principle materialized in an organization? The first question is related to recognizing symptoms by means of which orientation to results appeals to us; these are, among others, effectiveness, efficiency, process maturity, etc., and in general improvement. The second question – encourages reflection whether an orientation to results has only positive connotations or also negative ones. This means that without axiology the discussion about orientation to results has little sense.
