Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the article is to discuss the concept of didacticity and to suggest a series of methodological paths that could be followed to track its manifestation in the analysis of media discourse, with a particular atten-tion paid to the different genres of the written daily press, when dealing either with socio-political and economical events, or with extraordinary natural phe-nomena that generate strong emotion as well as a cognitive interest of a large public.
